Musica Sacra Chorus
The choir...
In the spring of 2000, director Johann VanIttersum and pianist
Elise Joosse formally organized Musica Sacra Chorus and began rehearsing
with some 20 singers. Shortly after that, organist James van den Brink joined
this team of musicians. The chorus is now made up of approximately 40 singers
of various backgrounds. It has always had a goal of supporting local charitable organizations and making music to God's glory. Musica Sacra Chorus practices
weekly from September through May at Norwich United Church in Norwich,
Ontario, and performs in its surrounding communities and beyond.
Musica Sacra Chorus presents concerts both on its own and with other choirs,
musicians, and instrumental ensembles.
